THE CURRENT
Miami, FL
Interior design and remodeling of an existing 6-story commercial building in Miami. Through a strategic engagement process, the 72,300 square foot space design intends to create an office experience that would increase creativity, innovation, amplify movement while bringing people together, and reflect the building’s new branding.
Visitors enter on the southern entrance, in the heart of the new space, which extends towards the atrium and features a biophilic lounge, retail spaces, and a café/restaurant.
The light directs them to an atrium with a generous skylight where both the visitors and tenants can enjoy the flex workplace with meeting rooms, an art gallery, and kiosks. The atrium is connected to the main entrance at the mezzanine level via a new circulation core added; a light steel stair and elevator, creating an uninterrupted movement between levels.
A food market with a central café/bar is reached from the atrium level, where also a private dining room with alfresco space can be found. The design expands to accommodate a large gym separated from the food market with another biophilic lounge that resembles hospitality and residential environments.
