10 MONTIETH
10 Montieth Street, Brooklyn, NY
Interior design of a new construction residential building including 8 stories, 500 rental units, and 350,000 sq. ft. Designed to speak to the colorful, artistic nature of the neighborhood, this project has an industrial meets pop art feel. The street level lobby opens to a large open space featuring circular, over-sized seating built within planter boxes, which mirror the expansive green wall leading to upper levels. Behind the reception area is a double height water feature that cascades into the lower level lobby lounge which overlooks the building’s courtyard. Lobby lounge takes advantage of double ceiling heights with stacked shipping containers re-purposed as private workstations. Down the main corridors is access to the amenity spaces providing residents with an array of options from a 2-story gym with rock climbing wall to a pet spa. Other amenities include photo studio, art studios, music rehearsal rooms, coffee lounge, movie screening room, game room with play options for every age group, as well as study areas. Apartment interiors have a sleek modern design punctuated by funky accents, such as graffiti printed tiles at the bathroom, raw steel framed glass shower doors, and concrete counter-tops at the kitchens.
