THE HIGHLAND | 2840 ATLANTIC AVENUE
BROOKLYN, NEW YORK
Interior design of a 14-story 320-unit ground-up development located in Brooklyn, East New York.
Developed by Moinian Group and Bushburg Properties, the project involves the former Empire State Dairy building. The interiors of the new development take inspiration from the history, textures, and layers, combining it with a modern flair.
A subdued, natural palette of colors and materials covers the lobby, continues at the amenity level, residential hallways, and extends to the outdoor amenities at the courtyard and roof level.
The lobby features a green lounge both as a shopfront and a waiting area for the residents. Art, communicating a sense of -the modern- is also an essential tool in elaborating the shared lounge, business center, and gym at the amenities level, all accessed through an artful hallway and open to landscaped gardens.
Courtyard gardens and the rooftop are designed with references from natural gardens that display various colors during the seasons. Lounges, outdoor working areas, playground for kids, dining, and sunbathing areas are scattered within this natural curated landscape.
